A Day in Norhtcote

So here we go, finally , with the intention of this blog. Which is to explore different areas of our fair city. J and I spent the afternoon wondering around the High Street in Northcote. To be very honest neither of us had ever been that north of the city but we can safely say that we were more than pleasantly surprised.
This strip I am sure is very well known with those of you who take a serious part in the melbourne music scene as it is home to the Northcote Social Club.
Aside from its deep roots in the music world High Street had a lot of little projects of note. J and I particularly loved all of the different restaurants, bars and cool concept stores that were woven into the traditional and un-gentrified fruit shops and debutante dress maker stores still standing.
High Street is an eclectic spot which is definitely a worthwhile visit.
