THE SIS AND US AT LOUISANA MODERN ART MUSEUM.
NEW NORDIC.
ASGERN JORN, 'GREEN MARKET',OIL ON CANVAS.
GIACOMETTI STATUETTES.
DONT FORGET TO GET A HOT DOG... THEY ARE ACTUALLY SOOO GOOOOD.
COPENHAGEN.... again super cold. We hopped bikes and explored the city and its many culinary options! Although we were on the waiting list for NOMA we missed out alas. But we stumbled across FAMO, an italian restaurant, that served a set menu and blew us away!
Being on bikes is the best way to explore the city allowing you access to all the little side streets that spawn off the main city drag OSTERGRAD STROGET which, houses the famous Danish dept. store ILLUM, to see the contemporary city we have all heard about.
We ate lunch at a really cool vegetarian resto called 42(degrees)RAW which was just by the ACNE flagship.
Another must do whilst in Copenhagen is visit LOUISANA/modern art gallery which is a 30 minute drive/train from the city centre. It is the most beautiful location, right on the water. NEW NORDIC is their current show, highlighting the relationship between nordic design and identity, super beautiful.
What we didn't realize was how popular restaurant chains were in Copenhagen and ate at two stand outs STICKS&SUSHI and MASH(MODERN AMERICAN STEAKHOUSE), both delish. We also ate at a really cool asian infusion restaurant called CHAI WONG'S.
